Privacy Policy

Snorrr · Effective 13 August 2026 · Last updated 13 August 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Nosa Studio Ltd ("we", "us", "our") handles personal data when you use the Snorrr mobile application ("the App", bundle identifier studio.nosa.snorrr) for Android, distributed via Google Play. The App is developed and operated by Nosa Studio Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17423491). We comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for users in the European Economic Area as well as the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (revFADP) for users in Switzerland.

Snorrr collects no personal data at all, and is built so that it cannot. The App has no account, no sign-in, no server, no advertising and no analytics — not even anonymous usage or crash telemetry. It is built without the Android INTERNET permission, so the operating system refuses every network connection it could attempt. This is a property of the installed file and you can verify it yourself — see section 3.

The App's interface is available in English, German and Serbian (Latin script). This Privacy Policy is provided in English; a plain-language version of the same statement is shipped inside the App in every language it supports. In case of discrepancy, this English version prevails.

2. Data We Collect

None. No data of any kind is transmitted from your device to us or to any third party by the App.

2.1 On-device data (never leaves your device)

The following is created and used entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere:

All of the above lives in the App's private storage, which other applications on the device cannot read. It is removed when you delete the relevant recording, when you use "Delete all recordings", or when you uninstall the App. Because there is no server and no backup, deletion is final: we hold no copy from which anything could be restored.

2.2 Microphone permission

The App requests access to the microphone, which it needs in order to record. Recording only ever starts when you press start in the App with the screen on — the App cannot begin a recording in the background, and holds no scheduler, alarm or boot receiver that could. Audio captured under this permission is written to the device and nowhere else.

3. How You Can Verify This Yourself

Claims about data handling are usually impossible for a user to check. This one is not, and that is deliberate.

An Android application can only open a network connection if it declares the android.permission.INTERNET permission. Snorrr does not declare it. Without it, the operating system refuses every connection the application might attempt — including one introduced by accident or by a third-party library.

Every permission an Android app holds is listed in the installed package and can be read from outside the app. Using the Android SDK build tools:

aapt2 dump permissions Snorrr.apk

The output lists the App's permissions in full. android.permission.INTERNET and android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE are not among them. The App's build additionally fails if either permission ever appears in a packaged release, so this cannot be reintroduced silently by a future update or by a dependency.

4. Sharing a Clip

The App lets you share a short clip of one of your own recordings. When you do, Snorrr hands two files — the audio excerpt and an image card — to an application you choose from your device's own system share sheet. Snorrr never uploads, hosts, or transmits those files. The transfer is performed by Android, to the app you selected, under a temporary per-file permission the system grants for that purpose.

From the moment you choose a receiving application (a messenger, mail client, cloud drive or any other), what happens to those files is governed by that application's privacy policy and by its operator's terms — not by this policy and not by us. If you are sharing a recording of another person's voice, please consider whether they have agreed to it.

5. Third-Party Services and Processors

The App uses none. There is no analytics provider, no crash-reporting service, no advertising network, no attribution SDK, no subscription-management processor, and no content delivery network. Nothing in the App contacts any server operated by us or by anyone else.

Google Play distributes the App and Google's own handling of your download, device and account is governed by Google's Privacy Policy. That relationship is between you and Google; the App itself sends Google nothing.

6. Data Retention

7. Your Rights (GDPR / revFADP)

If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent regarding personal data a controller holds about you, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in the EU your local Data Protection Authority.

We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to disclose, correct, export or erase. Your recordings and everything derived from them are on your device and under your control: deleting a recording, using "Delete all recordings", or uninstalling the App removes them. If you would like written confirmation that we hold nothing, contact us at the address below.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under 13. As it collects no data from anyone, it collects no data from children.

9. Health Disclaimer

Snorrr is a wellness product, not a medical device. It records sound and describes what it heard. It does not diagnose, monitor, predict or assess any medical condition, and nothing it displays is a clinical measurement. What it shows compares your nights with your own earlier nights; the figures depend on where the phone lay, the room, and the microphone in that particular handset, so they are not comparable between people and are not an absolute measurement. If you are concerned about your sleep or your breathing, speak to a doctor.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time — for example if the App gains a feature that changes how data is handled. Material changes will be communicated through the App's release notes on Google Play and through the copy of this statement shipped inside the App. The "Last updated" date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. The canonical URL of this policy is legal.nosa.studio/snorrr/.
